What to do with old baby cloths? – Christine Canino
Last fall, I was looking at minimizing.
Five boxes of baby cloths stood out as something just taking up space.
What could I do with those cloths? My “baby” is 20 years old now and no other babies are on the horizon so I decided to try my hand at making a Rag quilt. It is an easy and inexpensive way to save the memories without taking up a lot of space. The baby cloths in the box represented forgotten memories. When I opened the boxes and looked at the cloths the memories came flooding back. It actually took me a few days before I could make my first cut. How could I cut these cute little cloths?
Now that I am done and the quilt is sitting on the back of the couch, I’m so glad I did! I can look at the quilt and remember every day. Below is a short video overview of the process. See the link for detailed directions.
This process is easy enough for a beginner. This video series has amazing details explaining the process. Kelly demonstrates each step in her 12 part video series.
