What does a Carmelite do?
As a 3rd order Carmelite, I still have the primary vocation of wife and mother. Being a Carmelite is a secondary vocation. The special chrism of a Carmelite is to prayer. We spend 30 minutes a day medicating and we pray Morning and Evening prayer. The Morning and Evening prayer is the same prayers that priest and nuns pray only abbreviated. When ever possible we attend daily mass and pray a daily rosary.
This is me on the day, July 16, 2016, I took finial promises and became a full member of 3rd Order Carmelites.
